Density: Density is the mass of a material substance per unit volume. The mass of a body can be calculated from its volume or vice versa using density; the mass is equal to the volume multiplied by the density (M = Vd), while the volume is equal to the mass divided by the density (V = M/d).

Mass: Mass is a physical magnitude and a general attribute of matter in physics that expresses a body's inertia or resistance to change of motion. It is, more precisely, the property of a body that determines its acceleration when it is subjected to a certain force.

Oxidation: Oxidation is a chemical reaction that occurs when oxygen is added to a material. The oxidation of magnesium occurs when magnesium metal reacts with oxygen. When silicon is exposed to oxygen, it oxidizes and generates silicon dioxide.

Filtration: Filtration is the removal of solid particles from a liquid or gaseous fluid using a filter material that allows the fluid to pass through while trapping the solid particles. The desired product could be the cleared fluid or the solid particles removed from the fluid.

Decantation: Decantation is a method for separating immiscible liquid mixtures or a liquid and a solid mixture like a suspension.
